What is A23a Nation?

A23a Nation is a conceptual sovereign territory based on the A23a iceberg in the Southern Ocean. We offer digital citizenship and passports as part of an experimental community exploring new forms of nationhood and identity.

Any citizenship or passport associated with a newer micronation project like A23a has no established legal authenticity, official state recognition, or diplomatic validity. We are actively working with other micronations (Sealand and Liberland) to establish diplomatic relations but those are in the preliminary stages.

How do I get a digital passport?

Download the A23a Passport app from the App Store. You'll start as a visitor and can upgrade to full citizenship through an in-app purchase.

Is A23a Nation a real country?

A23a Nation is a conceptual micronation and community project. While we issue digital passports and have established governance structures, we are not recognized by the United Nations or traditional nation-states.

How much does citizenship cost?

Visitor status is free. Full citizenship with lifetime passport access is a one-time payment of $4.99.

Is my passport data secure?

Yes. Your passport data is stored locally on your device and protected by Face ID/Touch ID. We do not store your photos or personal details on our servers.

Can I restore my citizenship on a new device?

Yes. Your citizenship purchase is linked to your Apple ID. Use the "Restore Purchases" feature in the app to restore your citizenship status.

Can I travel with my A23a passport?

The A23a passport is a digital identity document for our community. It is not accepted for international travel. Always use your national passport for official travel.
